Meeting Sheva, My Totem Animal

This dog’s picture on the left, is not Shiva, but sure look like it! Last night, while meditating I tried to meet my spirit animal guide. I must tell you, with the weird dreams I been having about animals lately, I thought my animal spirit might be a big snake or spider but no….it was the most beautiful sheep dog I ever saw.

I found her seating at the fountain where I was standing at, while admiring the village scene were I was. This dog was small, timid happy to see me while waving her tail. She had her ears back and extending her face towards me like asking to be touch.

She had one side of her face white and the other black but she had the most beautiful blue eyes I ever saw in an animal. So I started to talk to her and ask her about my on going situation, for which she told me something I haven’t think about. She said “The burden you are going through, its not for you to suffer from, because the lessons to learn are not yours, it belongs to them. Just stay calm while everything pass and you will see the light when everything falls in place”.

The message comforted me, while giving me some relieve to know that all this mess is not for me but for others to learn from. I turn to her and said to her “I always heard that the name of a spirit guide doesn’t matter but I do really would like to know what is yours”, her immediate response was “My name is Sheva”. I smiled at her remembering that a friend of mine once told me about the name Sheva before, but she only said that it might be someone that I will meet. I don’t remember what other questions I asked of Sheva during this meditation but I do remember telling her thanks for showing herself to me. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath of air  and when I opened my eyes Sheva the dog was gone, just to appear as part of the decoration of the fountain I was standing at. I back off from this place like pulled by string from my back, it was like looking a movie in reverse, finding myself back in bed looking at the sealing.

Sure was nice to meet my animal spirit, hope is not the last time I see her, the love she showed me is indescribable but sure would like to see her again.

Looking for meanings of the name Sheva I found that in Hebrew Sheva can be interpreted as 'seven' or 'oath.' - see Genesis 21:22-34).  Who knows, it could be more meanings than that, but the important thing is that she is very real to me and I am glad to meet her.

Love and Light Everyone!
